Why this one isn't fifty bucks
You can buy a weed burner for fifty or sixty dollars. We've looked at them. If none of what's below matters to you, go and buy the cheap one with our blessing — we'd rather say that than talk you into something.
- 304 stainless, not painted steel. The cheap ones are mild steel with a coat of paint on them. Leave one in the weather for a couple of seasons and you'll see the difference.
- A 4 metre hose, not 2. Nearly everything else on the Australian market ships with two metres. Two metres means the bottle comes with you every few steps. Four means you stand it at the end of the row and walk.

The stainless Gas Bottle Trolley has 470mm all-terrain wheels and a laser-cut slot in the handle that the wand just drops into. Bottle, hose and burner all travel together, and the whole lot stands up on its own between jobs.

How heavy and how long is it?
The handpiece weighs 0.9 kg and measures 700 mm. That length is deliberate: it gives you ground reach while standing upright, so you can clear a large area without bending or wearing your arms out.

Does it come with a gas bottle?
No — gas cylinders can't legally be shipped. It connects to any standard Australian LPG bottle, including the 9kg one you swap at the servo. If you'd rather wheel the bottle than carry it, we make a stainless Gas Bottle Trolley for exactly that.
Do I need a licence or a permit?
No chemical applicator's licence, because there's no chemical involved — that's a large part of why people move across to flame. What you do need to check is your local fire restrictions, which change by state and by season. Always check your council and state fire authority before you light up.
What if it doesn't work on my weeds?
