You charge them overnight and use them. No starting procedure, no warm-up, no exhaust in a closed shed, no hot pipe near your hands. Battery packs come out and go back in tool-free, the way a cordless drill battery does.

Take the hydraulics out and everything gets better

Every other electric machine in this class is a battery driving a hydraulic pump. They electrified the engine and left the rest of it alone.

So they still carry the pump, the tank, the cooler and the oil — along with every hose and fitting that can weep it onto your floor. That's most of the reason they're 900 mm wide and won't fit through your door.

We took it out. All of it. The implements run on electricity, straight off the hitch. Nothing to leak on a shed floor. No oil to change, no filters to buy, no hoses to chafe through in three years. Hydraulics also throw away a good share of what you feed them as heat, which is why machines that use them need close to twice the battery to do less work.

And it's why the Compact is 720 mm. Narrow wasn't a target we chased — it's what's left once you delete the pump.

HandE-C — the one that fits through the door

720 mm wide — about 30 mm under a standard doorway. It goes inside the shed, into the stable, down the side of the house and through doors nothing else in its class will fit through. If you've ever stood there thinking "I'd need a machine for this, but a machine won't go in there", this is that machine.

Fully remote controlled, so you're standing beside it watching what you're doing rather than sitting on top of it hoping. For a lot of people that's the difference between using a machine and never buying one.

*Eight hours covers normal material handling. Heavy powered implements such as a mower or flail mower will pull it down.

HandE-T — the one that lifts

$54,950 inc GST, bucket and forks included. The bare platform is $39,000.

A stand-on tool carrier that lifts 500 kg. One machine for jobs that normally take two: shift mulch in the morning, dig post holes after lunch, drive under a truck tray and unload pallets before knock-off. Six battery packs, 18 kWh, a full day on material handling, wheels or tracks.

For context, the closest electric stand-on machine we know of lifts 234 kg.

$14,950 inc GST. With a flail mower and a power harrow, $22,950.

An electric two-wheel tractor for intensive growers. Bed prep, flail mowing, cultivation — the same jobs a petrol walking tractor does, without the engine to service, the fuel to carry or the fumes down the bed. Two hours minimum at full load, around three on average, and a spare pack keeps you going all day.

A BCS implement adaptor lets you keep every BCS implement you already own. You're swapping the engine, not the toolshed.

Which one do I want?

They aren't interchangeable between the machines, so don't go by the other one's list.

HandE-C and HandE-T: a bucket and forks come with the machine. A bin, an auger and a four-in-one bucket are optional extras, built to order. We don't tool something up until there are people actually waiting on it, so ask and we'll tell you honestly where each one sits.

Maintenance and warranty are two different things

No planned maintenance for five years. That's what the machine needs. No engine means no engine oil, no oil filter, no fuel filter, no air filter, no coolant and no belts. No hydraulics means no hydraulic oil and no hydraulic filters. It runs on bearings rather than bushes. The one scheduled job in five years is a gearbox oil change at high hours. Against a diesel, where a service every year is a cost you never stop paying, that's the whole argument.

Two-year warranty. That's what's covered if something goes wrong. Different thing, and we'd rather say both numbers plainly than blur them into one.

The maintenance claim excludes tyres, remote-control batteries, the gradual capacity fade every battery gets as it ages, that gearbox oil change, and damage or misuse. Nothing here affects your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
